The inner workings of Award Winning Web Sites
We all have encountered sites that proudly display the logo or mark, the site is declared a winner, "XYZ Award for Excellence", or similar tax. Many of these famous sites were moved to grant a small group of people with a vision 'of what makes narrow an award-winning website.
Although there are some legitimate types distinguished awards, there are many more that do not really mean much. Some I've seen do not seem all that for me, making me believe that there may be a conflict of interest involved in collecting a reward. Due to the proliferation of websites winners, it seems appropriate to look at this slightly different perspective.
